It involves an induction trance-like condition, where the client is in an enhanced state of awareness, concentrated in the hypnotherapist voice. When in this state, the conscious mind is suppressed and the subconscious mind is revealed. While entering into this state of mind the pulse rate drops, the breathing becomes deeper and slower and the client starts to experience a sense of very deep relaxation. It is then when the therapist is able to help the client, through suggestive work with new ideas, concepts and lifestyles.
